A low near northern Victoria/NSW border, together with a low pressure trough
over eastern New South Wales and southeast Queensland is associated with a broad
and active area of cloud covering most of the southeast of the continent
including Tasmania.

An inland trough across northern parts of the country extending from the
Kimberley region in Western Australia through the Northern Territory and into
southern Queensland is associated with middle and upper level cloud with
embedded thunderstorms.

Moist onshore flow is generating areas of low cloud over southern coastal
regions of South Australia.

The rest of the country is mostly clear apart from an area of cloud over the Top
End in the NT and over the northern part of Cape York Peninsula in Qld.
