Satellite Notes for 0000UTC chart on 21 November 2014

Issued at 11:32 am EDT Friday on 21 November 2014

A cloud band with embedded isolated showers and thunderstorms, extends along a trough from the Kimberley District to central Australia. The trough continues through to northeastern parts of NSW where isolated showers and thunderstorms are evident along the NSW coast and offshore including out over the Tasman Sea.

A separate trough extends over Victoria and Tasmania and is responsible for the patchy cloud over Victoria and thicker cloud band with embedded isolated showers over Tasmania.

A weak trough over the far southwest corner of WA combined with a moist onshore flow is resulting in low level cloud over the area.

The remainder of Australia is generally clear.
