Severe Tropical Cyclone "Frances" is located off the Kimberley coast of Western
Australia and features frequent thunderstorm activity. High level cloud is
streaming off this system across northern WA into central parts of the country.

A southwesterly airflow is maintaining low level cloud patches along the New
South Wales and Queensland coasts, as well as over much of Victoria, and
southeast South Australia. A weak low offshore over the southern Coral Sea is
causing an area of isolated thunderstorms.

Patchy middle and high level cloud is streaming from a low over the northern
Indian Ocean to the west coast of WA. Patchy middle level cloud also covers much
of Central Australia, South Australia and southern WA from an upper level trough
over central WA.

Patchy low level cloud is seen covering Tasmania from a weak cold front.
