Showers and thunderstorms extend over northern Australia to southeast
Queensland. This is due to humid, northeast to northwesterly airstream and
associated low pressure trough.

Further south, a strong cold front is moving through western NSW, Victoria and
Tasmania, while a secondary cold front is moving through the Bight. Showers
extend across southern agricultural areas of South Australia with rain areas and
moving over Victoria and Tasmania. Isolated thunderstorms areas also visible
across the central parts of Victoria and southwest NSW.

A high pressure ridge lies over southern districts of Western Australia. Another
high pressure ridge across the Tasman Sea and Coral Sea is directing a north to
northeast airstream over eastern Australia.
