IDY28000 Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology Bureau National Operations Centre Satellite Notes for 0000UTC Chart Issued at 12:29 pm EDT Thursday on 23 March 2023 A trough extends from a weak heat low in the Pilbara generating areas of cloud and convective activity through to southwest Western Australia and the into the Northern Territory. Areas of cloud and a few thunderstorms are also present near the Cape York Peninsula. Another low near in the interior of New South Wales is bringing cloud and convective activity though southern New South Wales and Victoria. A low off the eastern coast of Tasmania is generating convective activity offshore of southern New South Wales through a trough. The rest of the country is mostly cloud free apart from areas of low level cloud along Australia's southern and eastern coasts.
