A patchy widespread cloud band stretches across the Great Australian Bight
brushing southern coastal parts of WA and SA before extending over VIC and parts
of Tasmania. Embedded thunderstorms area occurring within this cloud band over
waters south of southeast SA. The cloud is associated with a broad cold front
and surface trough.

In the north low level cloud can be seen over the eastern Cape York Peninsula
and Arnhem coast due to onshore flow in these area.

The remainder of the continent is mostly clear under the influence of a high
pressure ridge.
