Severe Tropical Cyclone Niran continues to move southeast while, EX-Tropical
Cyclone Marian, to the far west of WA, is moving southwards and is expected to
weaken further.

Areas of cloud are present through the interior of the country associated with
an upper level feature. Cloud associated with this system also extends onto
eastern SA and is streaming out across NSW, VIC and TAS.

Patches of convective cloud and thunderstorm activity can be seen in northern
SA, southwestern NT, northern WA and the Top End into eastern QLD.

A ridge of high pressure over the central and southeastern part of the country
is maintaining mostly clear conditions apart from some low cloud over southern
and eastern coastal areas.
