A surface trough and associated upper level trough are generating a cloud band
that covers most of the eastern seaboard and extends out over the Tasman Sea
towards New Zealand.

A weakening low pressure system over the Bight is generating areas of cloud over
South Australia and southern coastal areas of Western Australia. Cloud
associated with a strong cold front lies well to the west of WA.

Patchy low and middle level cloud associated with a low pressure trough covers
parts of Tasmania.
