IDY28000 Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology Bureau National Operations Centre Satellite Notes for the 0600UTC chart on 5 March 2015 Issued at 6:38 pm EDT Thursday on 05 March 2015 A monsoon trough is generating areas of thunderstorms about the Kimberley and Pilbara coasts of Western Australia. High and middle level cloud is streaming from this area through the interior and across the Bight. An established upper level trough is generating this extensive cloud band. Thunderstorms are also active over large areas of northern WA, the Top End and far north Queensland. Further south, middle level cloud ahead of a surface trough is located over Tasmania, with high level cloud associated with the jet stream moving over southern Victoria.
