A broad area of low pressure stretches across northern Australia and extends
down western WA to the southwest of the state. This is causing cloud with
isolated thunderstorms in a broad band from the north to the southwest of WA,
over the Top End of the Northern Territory and over Far North Queensland.

A cloud band has formed along the Queensland southern coast near a trough. Areas
of cloud and thunderstorms are visible off the coast of New South Wales. Another
trough with a developing low over the Tasman Sea has generated an extensive
cloud band.

The rest of the country remains mostly clear apart from some low cloud along the
southern coast and also over Tasmania.
