Low cloud is building along the southeast QLD and NSW coast and ranges as the
high south of the Bight ridges over the Tasman Sea driving a moist onshore
airstream.

An extensive area of mid to high level cloud is present over the interior of the
continent and the southeast. This due to an upper level disturbance as well as
the subtropical jet stream transporting high cloud away from thunderstorm
activity over northern WA.

Middle to high level level cloud crossing southeast Australia is due to an upper
level disturbance.
