A broad low pressure trough lies over eastern parts of the continent and is
triggering an extensive cloud band with embedded showers and thunderstorms
extending along this trough.

A second inland trough extends north/south through WA and is also responsible
for triggering extensive convective activity over eastern parts of WA and
western SA.

Tropical moisture and a broad trough over the NT's Top End is triggering
isolated showers and storms very typical for this time of the year.
