Cloud with isolated thunderstorms extending from the northwest of WA into NT,
SA, VIC and NSW is due to a surface and an upper level trough. Patchy high cloud
can be seen streaming across the east of the country into the Tasman Sea ahead
of the upper level trough.

Cloud band associated with a cold front can be seen to the south of WA while a
trough with low to mid level cloud is approaching Tasmania.

A high pressure system centered over eastern NSW extends a ridge along
Queensland's east coast. This is causing mostly clear conditions over land areas
in the tropical north. Isolated thunderstroms can be seen over waters to the
north of the continent.
