A large area of cold air is over the Tasman Sea in the wake of a cold front.

Patchy low cloud affecting eastern Vic and parts of the NSW coast is trapped
under the temperature inversion caused by the high pressure system.

A thin line of high cloud stretches from Broome to the QLD central coast.

The rest of the country remains relatively cloud-free under the influence of a
strong high pressure ridge.
