A cold front is clearing the southeast of Australia which connects to a 999hPa
low over the southern Tasman Sea. Extensive cumulus cloud behind the front is
resulting in showers to the southern coastline of the continent. Cold, windy and
showery conditions persist over Bass Strait and much of Tasmania.

Southeasterly winds are generating areas of low cloud and isolated showers along
the Queensland coast. Mostly clear conditions elsewhere over Australia due to a
broad ridge of high pressure.
