Much of the country remains cloud-free under the influence of a dominant high
pressure system, with most weather systems remaining to the south.

A strong cold front is approaching south-west Western Australia with a large
mass of cold and possibly embedded thunderstorms while a weak trough is
generating a cloud band over the Kimberley and nearby areas.

Patchy areas of low cloud can be seen over inland parts of Victoria and coastal
areas of NSW and southern Queensland. A cold front in the Bight also extends a
band of cloud over Tasmania.
