Severe Tropical Cyclone "Herman" is located in the Indian Ocean, south of
Christmas Island.

A significant region of convective and high cloud covers most of central and
southern Western Australia, with thunderstorms embedded near a trough in the
Pilbara, and another extending south from the Gascoyne region. The band of high
cloud then extends into South Australia, through the Northern Territory and into
central Queensland.

A trough lies through central Queensland and into the Coral Sea, driving some
convective cloud with embedded thunderstorms near the Capricornia Coast.

A ridge in the Bight is driving moist onshore flow, which is producing areas of
low cloud through Victoria, western Tasmania, coastal South Australia.

The rest of the country is mostly cloud free.
