IDY28000 Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology Bureau National Operations Centre Satellite Notes for the 1200UTC chart on 05 May 2016 Issued at 11:45 pm EST Thursday on 05 May 2016 An extensive cloud band with embedded thunderstorms is extending from the Indian Ocean into the northwestern and central parts of the country. This is associated with an upper level trough. A jetstream extends this cloud further eastwards into the central Queensland. A cold front south of the Bight is generating low to mid level cloud, which is approaching Tasmania. Cold air behind this front is advecting low cloud over the south coast of WA.
