A broad mass of cloud with scattered thunderstorms lies over large parts of northern and central Australia. This cloud is associated an area of low pressure across the north and a surface trough over southern Queensland which extends off the coast of northern NSW.
A band of cloud with embedded thunderstorms extends from SE South Australia, over parts of NSW and Victoria to the Tasman Sea. This cloud is associated with another trough. Some middle and upper level cloud is over Tasmania.
Patchy low level cloud can be seen about SW WA within a moist onshore airflow.
