Areas of cloud with isolated thunderstorms over northeastern New South Wales and southeast Queensland are associated with a surface trough of low pressure and an upper level disturbance.
A weak frontal cloud band is moving over the Bight and Tasmania with only patchy high level cloud extending over southeast SA and western Victoria. A large band of cloud can be seen over southwest WA ahead of an approaching cold front.
The remainder of the country is mostly clear due to the presence of a high pressure ridge.
