A weak low and a trough to the northwest of Northern Territory, is generating an
active area of cloud and thunderstorms over the Kimberley region of WA and over
the NT. Areas of cloud and a few thunderstorms are also present over northwest
Qld and over the Cape York Peninsula.

A trough extends from the Pilbara district of Western Australia through the
Gascoyne district to southwest Western Australia. Areas of cloud and a few
thunderstorms can be seen near this trough.

Favourable upper level flow and a surface trough with a shallow low, off the
Victorian east coast, has generated a large area of cloud over eastern Victoria,
Tasmania and much of NSW.

The rest of the country is mostly cloud free apart from areas of mainly low
level cloud along the coastal areas of southern Western Australia, South
Australia, New South Wales and Queensland.
