IDY28000 Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology Bureau National Operations Centre Satellite Notes for 0000UTC Chart Issued at 12:46 pm EDT Wednesday on 22 March 2023 A weak low at the northwest of Northern Territory, associated with convective clouds and thunderstorms. A developing low at the southeast of Victoria, embedded with convective clouds and thunderstorms. A trough extends from the Kimberley region of Western Australia through the Gascoyne district to southwest Western Australia. Areas of active cloud and thunderstorms can be seen near this trough. Areas of active cloud are also seen over the Top End and in the Gulf of Carpentaria. Favourable upper level flow and a surface trough has generated a large area of cloud over Victoria, Tasmania and southern New South Wales, with embedded thunderstorms east of the trough in New South Wales. The rest of the country is mostly cloud free apart from areas of mainly low level cloud due to the onshore flow along the coastal areas of southern Western Australia and South Australia, New South Wales and Queensland.
