A band of mid to high level cloud and thunderstorms is associated with a trough
extending from the northern parts of the Northern Territory to a shallow low in
southern Cape York Peninsula and extending further south to the northeast corner
of NSW.

A trough extends from the Pilbara and Gascoyne regions of Western Australia
southwards along the coast. Areas of mainly middle level cloud with a few
thunderstorms can be seen near and to the west of this trough.

A complex low pressure system over Tasmania is generating a thick cloud band
over Tasmania and southern Victoria. Low to middle level cloud associated this
the system spreads over southeast New South Wales and much of Victoria.

Onshore flow is generating scattered low level cloud along of the southern
coastal areas of the continent.

The central inland part of the country is mostly clear due to a ridge of high
