A cloud band lies over southeastern parts of the country bringing rain to
northeastern victoria and southern NSW. This is due to a cold front entering the
Tasman sea and a surface trough in its wake. Scattered low level cloud is also
evident along the southeast coastal regions in the onshore flow.

Scattered low cloud can be seen over the southwest of the associated with a
trough offshore.

In the north, isolated showers are evident along the Queensland tropical north
coast and the Northern Territory Arnhem coast.

The remainder of the continent is mostly clear under the influence of a high
pressure ridge.
