A cloud band streaming over northern WA, the NT, SA, and into the eastern states
is associated with an infeed of tropical moisture. This feature links into a
cold front and low in the Bight near the border between WA and SA. Scattered
clouds in the wake of the front are aligned with a trough along the southwest
coast.

Apart from some low cloud over Tas and the eastern seaboard, the remainder of
the continent is mostly clear under the influence of a high pressure ridge.
