A strong cold front with associated cloud and embedded thunderstorms is moving
across eastern Victoria. Cellular cold air clouds can be seen behind the front
over Tasmania and the Bass Strait.

Another cold front is approaching the southwest parts of Western Australia with
low cloud affecting the area.

Some middle level cloud extends over far north Queensland.

The remainder of the continent is mainly cloud free under the influence of a
high pressure ridge extending across central Australia.
