A low pressure system lies southeast of Tasmania with a well defined cloud band
wrapping into the centre from the Tasman Sea. Extensive cloud covers southern
New South Wales, Victoria and Tasmania. Scattered low level cloud also extends
over much of coastal and southeastern South Australia.

A cold front and pre-frontal trough are crossing the western coastline of
Western Australia, and the associated band of cloud extends onto much of the
western half of the state, south of the Pilbara district.

The rest of the country is mostly clear under the influence slow-moving high
pressure system.
