A cloud band over eastern parts of Western Australia is associated with a slow-moving surface trough. Patchy high cloud extends from this system across the Great Australian Bight over southern parts of South Australia and New South Wales.
Scattered low cloud can be seen near the Queensland east coast in the southeasterly trade winds.
A deep low pressure system lies over the Tasman Sea to the west of the New Zealand South Island. Patchy low cloud over Tasmania lies within a moist southwesterly airflow to the west of this low.
