Cloud with isolated thunderstorms extending from the northwest of WA into
southern parts of the NT, much of SA, NSW and southern QLD is due to a surface
and an upper level trough.

A cloud band associated with a cold front is evident to the south of SA,
extending to the west of Tasmania. Low level cloud ahead of this front extends
from southern NSW, across central Victoria and over Tasmania. Patches of low
cloud over in the cold air in wake of this front can be is evident over southern

A high pressure system located over northeastern NSW extends a ridge along
Queensland's east coast. This is causing mostly clear conditions over areas in
the tropical north.
