An extensive band of middle and high level cloud can be seen stretching from
northern Western Australia, through South Australia, and into the Bight. This
cloud is associated with a low pressure system in the Bight, and its associated
trough.
Colder air behind the trough is producing patchy middle level cloud over central
and southern WA, while higher level cloud streaming ahead of the trough is
pushing across New South Wales and Victoria.

Speckled, cold air cloud can be seen over the Tasman Sea in the wake of a cold
front now near New Zealand.

Areas of low level cloud are visible along the tropical east coast of Queensland
in a moist onshore flow.
