The cloud band which brought cloudy and showery conditions through the southeast
of the country yesterday has moved of over the Tasman Sea. Thundertorm activity
is still observable throughout the cloud band.

A cold front just to the west of this cloud band is is keeping the southern NSW
coastlines under some low cloud.

Up through the tropics, storms to the southwest of the Gulf of Carpentaria lay
on a trough of low pressure, strengthened by the afternoon heat.

Isolated storms over the NSW coast are also being driven by a surface trough of
low pressure.

A high over the Bight is keeping conditions over the rest of the country mostly
clear.
