A broad cloud band with embedded thunderstorms extends over the Tasman Sea close
to New Zealand and is associated with a cold front moving across the Tasman.
Cellular clouds with isolated thunderstorms can be seen in the cold air behind
the front, mostly offshore over the Tasmania Sea and some further south wrapping
around Tasmania.

High cloud is streaming across northern coastal parts of Queensland and out over
the Coral Sea ahead of an upper level trough.

A cold front moving over southwestern parts of Western Australia has an
associated middle level cloud band sweeping back across the Indian Ocean while
high level cloud extends further east ahead of this system across southern parts
of SA and across the Bight.

The remainder of the continent is mainly cloud free under the influence of a
high pressure ridge extending across central Australia.
