A cold front and associated cloud band extends from South Australia, through
Victoria and over Tasmania then further southeast. Isolated thunderstorm
activity is approaching the southwest coast of Tasmania in the cool air to the
west of the front. More broadly, cumulus cloud behind the front is bringing
showers to the southern coastline of the continent.

Southeasterly winds are generating areas of low cloud and isolated showers along
the Queensland coast. Mostly clear condtions persist over remaining parts of the
continent due to a broad ridge of high pressure.
