IDY28000 Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology Bureau National Operations Centre Satellite Notes for 1800UTC Chart Issued at 5:00 am EST Saturday on 28 May 2022 A cloud band extends across the Pilbara towards the interior of the continent, connecting with a surface trough to the northwest in the Indian Ocean. A series of cold fronts are traversing the Southern Ocean, with one line of cloud approaching the southeast of the continent, and another propagating northeastwards towards the southwest of Western Australia. A surface trough and upper-level disturbance are responsible for an area of cloud across parts of New South Wales. A low in the southern Coral Sea is leading to an arc of convective cloud that is progressing southwards. The remainder of the continent is mostly cloud-free.
