A low to mid level cloud band extends over eastern NSW from the Tasman Sea. This
is associated with a surface trough located off the NSW coast.

A cold front is crossing southwest WA with isolated showers and thunderstorms
embedded in the mid level cloud associated with this front. Cold air behind the
front is generating multiple thunderstorm cells over waters southwest of WA,
while streaming high cloud ahead of this front is visible over the Bight region.

The remainder of the continent is mostly clear under the influence of a high
pressure ridge.
