IDY28000 Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology Bureau National Operations Centre Satellite Notes for the 0000UTC Chart on 23 October 2016 Issued at 11:45 am EDT Sunday on 23 October 2016 A surface trough and a strong upper disturbance are generating a large cloud band that extends from the Top End of the Northern Territory through much of Queensland to a cold front over the Tasman Sea. A mass of cold air over the southeast is being driven onshore, bringing low cloud to Tasmania, Victoria, southeast South Australia and the New South Wales coast. The remainder of the country is relatively cloud free due to a large high pressure system.
