A trough extends from the Pilbara region of WA through central Australia to
northwest Victoria. A large band of cloud with a few embedded thunderstorms is
associated with this trough.

Meanwhile, a cold front in the eastern Bight is approaching Tasmania with mostly
low level cloud extending on to the southeastern part of the continent and
Tasmania.

Onshore flow along the southern coastal areas of WA and SA is also generating
areas of low cloud.

Mid to high level cloud with a few embedded thunderstorms covers northern
Kimberley district of WA, the Top End in the NT and northern parts of the Cape
York Peninsula in Queensland.

The rest of the continent is mostly cloud free.
