A cold front is generating a mid level cloud band west of Tasmania and high
cloud over much of Victoria.

Low cloud over the southeast parts of the continent is due to cool, moist
westerly flow directed by a high pressure sysmtem over western SA.

Southeast wind flow is directing low level cloud near Cape York Peninsula and
the northeastern parts of the Top End.

The remainder of the continent is largely cloud free under the influence of a
high pressure ridge.
