IDY28000 Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology Bureau National Operations Centre Satellite Notes for 1800UTC Chart Issued at 5:29 am EST Tuesday on 16 August 2022 A low pressure system lies southeast of Tasmania with a well defined cloud band wrapping into the centre from the Tasman Sea. Extensive cloud covers southern New South Wales, Victoria and Tasmania. Scattered low level cloud also extends over much of coastal and southeastern South Australia. A cold front and pre-frontal trough are crossing the western coastline of Western Australia, and the associated band of cloud extends onto much of the western half of the state, south of the Pilbara district. The rest of the country is mostly clear under the influence slow-moving high pressure system.
