A cold front is crossing the Tasman Sea and has an associated band of
thunderstorms and mid-upper level cloud with a broad area of cool-air
thunderstorm activity to the west of the front.

Cool, low-level cloud extends over southeast parts of the country in westerly to
southwesterly flow whilst some high cloud extending over Tasmania and Victoria
thanks to an upper level jet stream.

The rest of the country is generally cloud-free under the influence of a high
pressure system.
