A cold front over the Tasman Sea is producing middle level cloud and scattered
thunderstorms. Another cold front and cloudband is moving across the Great
Australian Bight.

Patches of low cloud over southwest Western Australia, western Tasmania and
Victoria is due to an onshore wind flow.

A ridge of high pressure is responsible for keeping the rest of the continent
mainly cloud free, with just some patchy high cloud streaming down over northern
Australia.
