A cold front is crossing the southwest of WA generating a large cloud band with
embedded thunderstorm activity. A field of convective cellular cloud can be seen
in the cold air behind the front.

An upper level cloud band is streaming down from tropical convection over the
Indian Ocean west of Java to central Australia and central Queensland. This
cloud is brought along by the upper level subtropical jet stream.

While a weak cold front is crossing Tasmania resulting in a band of low level
cloud which extends down to a low over the Southern Ocean.
