Satellite Notes for the 0000UTC chart on 15 September 2014.
Issued at 11:00 am EST Monday on 15 September 2014
A cold front is moving over the southern Tasman Sea towards New Zealand and, in its wake, patchy low cloud covers parts of Tasmania. A line of thunderstorms to the east of the NSW Central Coast is associated with a prefrontal trough.
Areas of cloud over southeastern parts of South Australia, Victoria, and New South Wales are due to a slow-moving low pressure system near Adelaide.
Most of the rest of Australia is cloud free although a little patchy low cloud can be seen about the far southwest of Western Australia within a light onshore airflow.
