A low pressure trough extends from the Kimberley in Western Australia, across
the tropical north to a broad area of low pressure over the eastern Queensland,
triggering isolated showers and thunderstorms over eastern Queensland. An
extensive area of middle and high level cloud stretches across eastern
Queensland and northeast New South Wales and extends along another trough out to
the Coral Sea.
