Areas of low cloud over central Australia are due to a low pressure trough.
Patchy low cloud over the southeast mainland and Tasmania is from moisture
trapped under the temperature inversion caused by the high pressure ridge.

Low-level cloud is also developing over the Queensland central coast region and
adjacent inland. This is from the fresh southeasterly trade wind flow combining
with an upper air disturbance to the west.

A cold front can be seen south of the Bight and a complex low to the west of WA.
High level cloud is evident, moving rapidly over the far SW of WA associated
with a jetstream.
