A large area of isolated thunderstorms over the Tasman Sea is associated with a
trough of low pressure.

A cold front is moving over the far south of Western Australia with a band of
cloud with embedded thunderstorms.

A large high pressure system over the eastern part of the country is responsible
for keeping the rest of the country mainly cloud free.
