IDY28000 Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology Bureau National Operations Centre Satellite Notes for the 1200UTC chart on 5 May 2015 Issued at 11:00 pm EST Tuesday on 05 May 2015 A strong cold front moving into the Tasman Sea and a deep low pressure system south of Tasmania are evident. A surge of cold air behind the front is causing isolated thunderstorms and low level cloud over Victoria and Tasmania, and along the southern coasts. Patchy high cloud can be seen drifting across the far north of the continent. The remainder of the country is generally clear due to a ridge of high pressure extending from the west.
