A series of cold front are moving across the southern part of the Indian Ocean
towards Western Australia and then into the Bight. Patchy middle to high level
clouds extend through the region associated with these frontal systems. High
level cloud streaming out ahead of one frontal system moving through the Bight,
covers Bass Straight and Tasmania.

Some low level cloud across parts of Victoria and southern New South Wales has
developed overnight associated with a ridge of high pressure over southeastern
Australia.

Speckled cellular cloud extends across the Tasman Sea and is associated with the
cold air mass following a cold front that has moved through the region in the
last 24hours.

The remainder of the continent is mainly cloud free under the influence of a
high pressure ridge.
