An upper level low and associated surface trough is responsible for the band of
cloud over eastern Queensland. Onshore winds continue to bring patchy low cloud
along the coast of Queensland, northern NSW and coastlines along the south of
the continent.

Tasmania lies in a cool westerly flow behind a front with low speckled cloud
about western parts. A stronger cold front and low moving through the Southern
Ocean is evident in middle to high level cloud spiralling towards the centre of
the low.

A high pressure ridge is keeping central and most of Western Australia clear
with patchy high cloud over northern parts of the country.
