A surface trough extends from the central part of the country to the
southeastern Australia while high presure ridges cover southern QLD and
southwest WA. A large, mainly high and middle level cloud band, associated with
the trough covers northern SA, NSW, VIC and TAS.

Areas of cloud and active thunderstorms can also be seen across the Kimberley
region in WA.

Elsewhere it is mostly clear apart from patchy cloud along the coastal areas of
