A broad area of low pressure extends from the NT Top End down to southwest WA
triggering thunderstorms and a middle level cloudband.

A trough over central Queensland is generating some isolated thunderstorm
activity and low cloud.

A westerly airstream over southeast of the country is producing some low cloud
over southern Victoria and Tasmania.

Remainder of the country is mostly cloud free under the influence of a high
pressure ridge.
