IDY28000 Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology Bureau National Operations Centre Satellite Notes for the 0600UTC chart on 28 January 2015 Issued at 7:51 pm EDT Wednesday on 28 January 2015 A broad area of low pressure extends across northern Australia causing isolated thunderstorms over the inland areas of Western Australia, the Top End in Northern Territory and the Far North Queensland. Areas of cloud with embedded thunderstorms also cover much of the eastern New South Wales and southeast Queensland and are associated with a trough. Another trough over the Tasman Sea has generated an extensive cloud band. The rest of the country remains mostly clear apart from some low cloud in the Bight extending across to Tasmania and eastern Victoria.
